Hendrix played around with his guitar off stage before playing for the excited audience. It's said that before he performed, he watched the support acts from the crowd.

Hendrix mingles with the audience at the 1967 Roundhouse gig. He told the support act, the Flies, how much he liked their harmonies and played back one of their songs that he had heard to the radio the week before.

No set list has surfaced for this gig, but in this early period, the Experience usually played a cover-heavy set with Hey Joe, Wild Thing, Like a Rolling Stone, Rock me Baby and Killing Floor.

The Roundhouse and the band were using new, higher wattage Marshall amps for this gig, so the sound would have been the loudest and possibly weirdest ever heard by the audience.

Hendrix wore his most flamboyant clothing - his famous dress uniform jacket, and all three members of the band had now grown their hair into huge Bob Dylan-influenced dos.
